Caught about 10 miles south of the Lagos on the Algarve coast today. I have emailed it to Ada, but not got a reply yet so thought I would ask here as my curiosity is getting the better of me.
Its not a blue. Fought like a lunatic, tail walked, leapt out of the water 3 times. Much more solid and torpedo shaped than a Blue.
Most distinctive thing is that the “wristy” bit in front of the tail is almost flat – like a squashed diamond. (Blues by contrast are slender and round in front of the tale).
Heres the links to the pictures.
