Shimano Exage 14.5m, Maver 151 Competition 14.5m and the Garbo Squad 396 13m.

If you want to go 16m then the MAP F16 or Daiwa Strongbeam are the only real options, although both are “limited” at full length.

The Preston Carp Competition 14.5m is another good offering, but he only person really qualified to make this decision is YOU.

Go to a dealer, have a feel of some poles, the one that feels right IS right. All the above companies have an excellent back-up service so don’t worry.

Also consider the spares you need, as all the packages come with different permutations in top kits.
