Another week with big numbers of fish rising. On most mornings there were plenty of fish to cast at, the afternoons quieter then a good late evening rise.
Spooned fish have been feeding on assorted sizes of black or green buzzers, pond olive nymphs/emergers, damsel and daphnia.
On Tuesday evening there was the first of the mayfly hatch. Along the whole of the brookside bank there were more mayfly then I’ve ever seen at Elinor.
Prospects for dry fly and imitative patterns remain excellent with great water clarity and milder temperatures.
