it’s shocking lagerlout25, I fished it in september & it was utterly dire
I came 3rd with 2lb 10oz of perch
all at 11m to chop & caster, couldn’t get anything anywhere else
2nd place had a just over 3lb of perch fishing waggler & maggot, 1st place had 6lb – but he had a tench (the only one caught on the day), think he was fishing worm & caster as well
1st hour was best, I lost quite a few cos I was fishing heavy enough to cope with any tench, but this was obviously too harsh for the mini-perch
after that hour it went down hill, but I managed to follow the perch as they backed off, for a while anyway until they totally disappeared
there were a few dnw’s & lots of less than 1lb nets
this time of year, with no chance of tench might work out better actually because you’ll be able to fish ultra light & possibly land the majority you hook
