Do any of you regular anglers have a secret desire to own your own lakes?
Strange, I like a pint but would never run a pub, I like nice food but would never run a restaurant, but when it comes to fishing, well I think I would love my own place.
However I am sure it is hard work so maybe not something to contemplate when ageing, or is it?

considering a venture in S6 John? or something in the warncliffe side area?

No Dave, if I was to venture into this I would go “sarf”. Check out fisheries4sale and sandersons web site there are some real gems including some well known commercials.
I know nothing about the science so guess this would be suicidal and therefore not something to consider lighly. Then again Will Raison owns half of Gold but he still seems to get plenty of time on the bank.

my worry is I’d spend plenty of time on the bank – but none of it fishing

Yep sure did but as a city boy the thought of the isolation, septic tank sewage etc I am not sure I could adjust to the country life.
I read J Raisons feature in the last monthly re Gold and it really set me thinking.
I suppose before I even think about jumping I should spend some time at one of the colleges brushing up on the science but am not sure if I am too old for that.
I do love being out on the bank side but living there??

with all the deseases and deaths now happening it must be like sitting on a bomb with it ticking away and you not knowing when its going to go off, come out one morning and every thing you have worked so hard for is floating on the top

That thought too had crossed my mind CB, its bad enough dealing with things you can see and understand.
