I prefer the rocking roller by Boss, to the v-type.
I have had the pole blown off a v-type but they are supplied with a string to stop that happening.
Generally you will get more height with a v-type.
I think Seymo produce a roller that has many different set-ups, so have a look on a web site.
            Regards Peter.

I have a Large Boss Rocking roller which is very stable, but on venues which are not surrounded in tarmac/concrete I use a large screw in V roller which is from a MAP tripod set. I just screw it into an extending bankstick and it will extend as high as I want. Its much more adaptable than the tripods because of this and it wont blow over. It makes me smile when people are lugging big tripods around and then placing them on the grass behind them.

                  Hi Smed,

Like the others say, the Boss/Daiwa Rocking Rollers’ are Brilliant, and if theres a high bank behind you just collapse the legs down and use it flat on the ground. They are very versatile and durable so the price although expensive is well worth it.

                  Thanks, Gary Manoli.

                    hi smed,

Also as most of the others say, daiwa.boss rockin rollers are the ones i also use, 4 all of the above reosons above, a large price tag but well worth it, if you are using more than 13 metres u may need 2 pole rollers.
