Yet another unpredictable week at Ringstead Grange due to the weather, but the harsh rain had cooled the water and replaced the water loss from the previous hot conditions and fishing has picked up incredibly.
The Ringstead team have worked hard during the the first part of the week with improvements to Willow Bay and also working on weed control.
Masses of fish have been spotted and are returning to this area again (Willow Bay)
Best catches of the week go to Andy Bundy (Higham Ferrers) a full limit of 3 pounders
Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) caught 6 at almost 3 pounds each.
Bob Symes (Geddington) had a good condition brace of 3 pounders.
Best areas for boats: Willow Bay, The Deeps and Lodge Front
Best flies: Black Damsels, Red Buzzers and Black and White Shipmans Buzzer
Best areas for bank fishing: Willow Bay, Lodge Front and The Deeps
Best flies: Bloodworm, Blue Blob, Red Buzzer and Shipmans Buzzer.
