Windy weather conditions have made fishing very difficult this week. There were a number of days when boats were not able to go out as safety is paramount at the fishery.

Work continues on new swims and three new jetty’s are to be in place soon.

Please note our Pike Season commences on 28th October, with 5 boats put a side. To avoid disappointment, please book now as a lot of interest has been shown.

Water temperature of the lake is 13 degrees and clarity is clear throughout the lake.

        Best Catches of the Week:
Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) caught 5 fish at 3lbs a piece
Liam Johnson (Higham Ferrers) caught 2 and a half lbs each
Mr Braughn (Uppingham) caught a lovely brace of 3 pounders
Mr and Mrs Heyburn (London) caught 2 a piece of 3 pounders
Reg Belham (Northampton) caught a lovely brace.

        Best Areas:
Boats – Top Bank, Mill Corner, The Deeps and Willow Bay
Bank – Caravan Corner, Lodge Front and Willow Bay

        Best Flies:
Boats – Hoppers, Diawl Bach and Buzzer Emergers
Bank – Crunchers, Diawl Bach’s, Emergers, Hare’s Ears and Golden Head Nimph

Stocking will take place again this week.

From Sunday 29th October 17, the fishery will be opening everyday at 8am.
