Exciting week at the lake this week from both fly and preditors anglers. Trout fishing has generally been consistent and picking up towards the end of the week. The new jetty swims on Addington Road are proving very successful and intermediate lines are recommended at the moment, as the fish are laying between 3-7 ft. The water temperature is five degrees.
Our first congratulations goes to Dermot Ogle (Leicester) for producing the first double figure pike of the season weighing in at 15 pounds. They were all stunning fish and had wonderful colours. (1st Photo Attached)
Also congratulations go to Gene Robinson (Raunds) who caught a stunning 5lb 4oz rainbow trout; caught on a black and green cats whisker from the point swim. (2nd Photo Attached)
