Harsh weather conditions this week; especially the Northernly wind is making casting from the front of the bank quite difficult, but anglers still managed to produce fish. After four frost’s this week brownies seem to be showing frequently, as the water temperature is currently at 5 degrees and clarity is gin clear.

A trout match has been organised for the 16th December by Scott Bowman and has kindly opened the doors to any angler who would like to join in. If you would like to like to participate, please be at the lodge for eight o’clock.

        Best catches this week:
Reg Bellham (Northampton) caught a stunning brownie at 2.5 pounds
Gene Robinson (Raunds) caught 8 fish 2.5 to 3 pounds
Michael Bax (Oakham) caught 5 fish at 2.5 pounds
Nigel Cheetham (Oundle) caught 4 fish at 2.5 pounds a piece and a brownie also at 2.5 pounds
Pete (Bailiff) was very happy with his second brownie this year at 2.5 pounds (Photo Attached)
Liam Johnson (Higham Ferrers) caught 1 rainbow trout at 2 pounds

        Best Areas:
Boats: Front Lodge, Deeps, Willow Bay and Addington Road
Banks: Addington Road, Willow Bay, Front Lodge and The New Jetty’s

        Best Flies:
