        Well,

Took my first trip to Withernsea saturday, after spending a few sessions down the road at Immingham.

Got there for 2:45pm,for the high water at 7:55pm,and fished the North Prom.

First impression was it was a nice looking beach, with breakers at 100 mtr intervals…screamed fish I thought !!!!!
Set up both rods, one with a 4/0 pulley pennel, and the other with a simple running ledger rig,to a 4/0 hook.

Bait was frozen lug and squid on one rig,a double lug on the other……..

Lot of weed making it difficult and the odd gust of wind, but remained hopefull as more and more turned up……..but was soon wondering when they all started going again !!!!!!!

To cut it short, nothing was caught,by anyone, and come the high water,I was the only person left on the beach….

Decided enough was enough about half an hour after high water, and cut my loses……

No doubt I will be back again, and fingers crossed for a better result.

        Tight lines.

        Si.

Might have to try further up,as well as back down to the Lincs coast….

Will be at Chap point on the 30th,hoping for something……….~think
