        Hi all,

Looking to start an all purpose catch report,to get everyone back up to date with all the regular places, and what is being caught, and how.

So if you have been anywhere, whether you have caught or not,why not let everyone know?……….

A good database for venues is always going to be popular, and the more we can get posted, the better the info for those wanting to give them a go….

        Tight lines,

        Si.

        Razor Edge

          Dover admiratly pier 18/12/07

          fished from 10am till 5pm

neap tide but still incrediably hard to hold bottom

baits used were black lug and squid

very quiet for most of the pier for most of the tide apart from right at the end who had codling to 3lb and whiting to 1 1/2 lb throught

as tide began to get stronger more cod were being landed only need to cast 40 yards out but grip leads (not break away) 7oz minmum used big baits chap nxt to me had 3 cod to 4lb and lost a double figure fish at the drop net fished exactly the same as him 4 black lug and squid head and all i got was a doggie and a few pout the difference was i was using 6oz and 5oz breakaway leads and couldnt hold bottom when the tide started to run he was using 7oz-8oz grips

(mind the doggie was missing the ventral fin so its in my freezer waiting for a cast to be taken)

ahwell best part of the trip was the pub nxt to the admiralty somthing dock arms. good harty pub food, which is fairly priced and friendly staff

the tides to tend to run fast there, this time of year you need to use 6/8oz grips and big baits.
