Exciting news.. Junior Matches

  Hi there.. I am running a series of 5 junior matches at Bradshaw Hall Fisheries, near Bolton , Lancashire.
  We have G.J.SEDDONS of Bolton, a local company helping with sponsorship re posters and publicity.
  We have had a great response from the angling “media” as regards prizes and goody bags etc.
  and Phil Dewhurst ( top north west angler) has offered to take the winners to his fishery, ROSEMARY WOOD, and coach them for a day, with free bait!! how good is that? Thanks Phil.
  I am recording a radio programme with Martin James, at Radio Lancashire which will be broadcast in the near future for his weekly angling programme. I will let you know when it is “on air”
  I am also going to speak with Keith Arthur on his radio programme, to get publicity for the series.
  I think it will probably get over 100 juniors fishing for the series of matches, fished on Pool 8 ( canal type , 12 metres at the most to fish it)
  2 age groups, 12’s and under, and 12 to 16 years .
  If you know anyone who would like to fish the series, please contact me. Trophies and prizes!!!
  The matches start MONDAY, 21st JULY… and every Monday for 5 weeks. Draw 9.30am Â£3 entry fee. TBC.
  Fish 10.30 – 2.30pm
  If you can help with prizes,sponsorship, tackle etc.. that would be most appreciated.

  As usual, threads like this get little or no replies!! where as the inane threads about the TF clique get lots! How sad is that! And you wonder why forums are not getting new members?

  Behave SG .. lol it has taken time to get the peg fee down to Â£3 to start with!
  Lots of people are involved with this, and not all of them are anglers.
  Charity is not an issue on these matches, they are to provide kids/juniors the opportunity to experience fishing matches. I know you are North West based, so I will give you the time and date of the interview with Martin James on Radio Lancashire, as soon as I know it.
  There is also the possibility that Bob Nudd, or another top North West angler will present the prizes. More info soon, as the series develops.

  Keep me informed. I might even get involved. Still a shame the fishery cannot give up the peg fee. The fishery will still gain in the future from having these kids fishing on the fishery!
