TF_geepsterParticipantYou mean the Total-FishingClub Stafford Moor Winter Silver Fish Festival, set up from scratch through the club site last year?
Anyone can post the results, but not unless they mention the club. Journalistic inexperience IMO.Here’s the Top Ten:
1 Colin Mercer, 3pts
2 Chris Haines, 4pts (30-11-0)
3 Roland Lucas, 4pts (24-12-0)
4 Russ Evans, 4pts (21-12-0)
5 Andy Gregory, 5pts
6 Chris Martin, 6pts (25-4-0)
7 Steve May, 6pts (24-7-0)
8 John O’Driscoll (last year’s champ), 6pts, 19-8-0
9 Steve Martin, 6pts, 17-8-0
10 Skip McCabe, 7pts, 24-8-0 -

TF_CutnutI mean one minute I log on the site and see the post title. Click on it and it’s gone!!!
Didn’t know journalistic inexperience or lack of references was a new rule breaker.
Am I detecting a tone?~think

TF_geepsterParticipantA tone? Most match reports you see include a reference to the organisation, club, or sponsor they are associated with don’t they? If they are. Anyway, I complained and the poster asked for it to be removed.

I wouldn’t know I didn’t get chance to read it.

Does this mean we now have to say
“Barclays Premier League” when ever we post football results? -

TF_geepsterParticipantNot unless you are trying to take people away from the site, no.
Out of all the open forum sites I see out there, fishing or otherwise, Total-Fishing.com is just about the most lenient I’ve come across when it comes to posting links to other sites.
Take the thread the other day about other angling sites – that sort of post would simply not be allowed on 90% of sites out there.
But we do draw the line when it comes to drawing traffic away when the results/story are actually the result of something our guys have taken the trouble to set up, without giving any credit to that effect. That’s simpy courtesy isn’t it?
Here endeth today’s sermon.

TF_Happy DanglerWas a great festival despite the lower weights this year – well done Herbie for the organisation. 23 managed to get there and fish all 3 days in some pretty spectacular conditions.
Also thanks to Andy Seery for donating the main prize at his own expense….
Looked on TFC but couldn’t find the results!

TF_geepsterParticipantPMed Herbie on Saturday to saying many thanks from everyone for picking up a baton this year – have asked if he could send the results through as soon as he has a spare moment and if anyone has pics. I know what it’s like when you just get back from a festival – writing up about it isn’t top of your priority list!! If anyone already has them available please send through and I’ll get them onto the site in a jiffy.
