Hi could you answer a couple of things about the aerocast feeder rods please I cant seem to find this info elsewhere. Firstly what grade tip/top sections are supplied with the 11′ and 12′ models? Also is the 11′ capable of chucking sensible sized method feeders mid range say 60 meters?

Lastly, would you say these rods are worth the extra money over the beastmaster range, is there a lot of noticeable difference in quality?

        Thanks.

First things first, i would honestly say that the Aerocast range of feeder rods is in my opinion the best range of feeder rods Shimano have ever produced.
As for the 11′ and method feeders, 60 yards is a long way and would be pushing the rod right to the limit. Although i might add a lot will depend on the weight of the method feeder. The 12′ will cast a method feeder 60 yards with ease though i might add. As for the tips they are numbered 1’2 and 3 with 1 being the lightest. As a guide i would say the no.1 tip is 1/2 ounce, the no.2 tip 3/4oz and the 3 tip an ounce.
          Hope that helps.

thanks for that, im trying to decide between an aerocast 11 or 12ft or the beastmaster commercial 11’6. I suppose the beastmaster is near enough 12′ anyway considering that it has a shorter than usual handle. Perhaps i would be better of getting a 9-11′ beastmaster and a 12′ aerocast, this way i have pretty much all feeder fishing covered.
