Hi Ben,
Most matches are currently being won with nets made up of mainly small barbel,crucians,tench and skimmers.
Chopped worm and caster or micro pellets with a 4mm on the hook seem to be the most consitant baits.
Have a line just down the shelf/slope, one over the far side down the slope and a throwaway line down the middle .
0.11 line should be ok for 99% of the fish in there although there are one or two rogue chub to about 3lb+ and for me the best fish in there are the occasional big roach that show uo but average 1.5lb – 2.5lb!!!!
weights around 12lb – 20lb are winning at the moment
