TF_geepsterParticipantHunts Lake At Linear Fisheries To Re-Open
Linear Fisheries Oxford is pleased to announce that Hunts Corner Lake will be open for fishing again on July 1st this year.
Len Gurd, spokesman for Linear, has stated that Hunts was probably the worst lake to suffer losses of fish after the summer floods of 2007 but since then it has gradually been well stocked with carp to over 30 pounds and there are more to be introduced later this year.
Hunts, which was formerly a syndicate, will be opened as an exclusive day ticket water with prices slightly higher than the other day ticket waters on the popular Oxfordshire site. Fishing will be limited to just nine or ten swims on this pretty nine acre lake and it will be run on a first come first served basis – no bookings will be taken.
Len went on to say that those connected with Linear were pleased and surprised at the way Hunts Corner Lake had picked up – trial fish-ins have produced some very nice carp several of which have been caught to over 30 pounds. Len also believes that the introduction of some very pretty carp later this year will further enhance the water.
Other waters that Linear plan to introduce more carp to this year include Oxlease, Brasenose and the Guy Lakes Syndicate – all three of these waters are to receive a new stock of carp this year in addition to the introductions already made.
