The Parabolix STI is not only strong, it’s incredibly light. It weighs an incredible 560 grams at 11.5m and an amazing 780 grams at 13.0m. It’s been designed as an all-round match-carp pole suitable for use with elastics up to 16 (or 12/20 hollow elastic) with the power kits, and 12 with the standard kits.
The short number four section offers even more rigidity for fishing shallow, long, or in a wind.
Just like MAP did with the TKS range of poles, they have also paid special attention to the power kits. They wanted the power kits to be a sensible length, as extensive research and testing found that power kits offered by most of their competitors were simply too long for the kind of fishing done in the UK. Longer power kits are fine if you fish deep venues, however, most commercial venues within the UK are no more than eight feet deep, and most fishing is done either by fishing short in the margins, or fishing shallow.
Both the new match kits and power kits will also interchange with the original Parabolix pole.
The finish on the pole is exceptional and makes shipping easy, even in wet weather. Unlike other models within the MAP range, this new friction free finish also runs the full length of the pole.
