Grass Carp Record At Shatterford Fishery

Andy Powell (Leominster) celebrated his 40th birthday with a few days on Masters and achieved a new site carp record in the form of a massive 29lb grass carp (pictured).

Andy also landed a 24lb common and a 15lb 10oz common, along with several other doubles, using maize and sweetcorn.

Andy has achieved a new PB on every visit to Shatterford so far. His colleague, Russell Morris (Leominster) landed three sturgeon up to 15lb and a 16lb 4oz mirror.

Stuarts Lake
7.8.09 – Mark Mole (Acocks Green) 20 bream up to 5lb and a 18lb 10oz common carp using maize
7.8.09 – Neil Sarkar (Martley) had a 33lb 2oz catfish on Stuarts using live bait
3.8.09 – Rob Ellwood, who also fished Stuarts, achieved his first cat this weekend (pic attached).

Erics Lake has also produced some good results this week:
2.8.09 – Darren Facwell (Redditch) landed a 26lb carp using boilies
2.8.09 – Oliver Chalk (Stourbridge) had three carp up to 17lb using boilies.
1.8.09 – Joe Holloway (Highley) had a 17lb 8oz cat and 14lb carp using pellets
1.8.09 – Philip Walker (Highley) had two carp up to 15lb 8oz using pellets
1.8.09 – Andy Butcher (Halesowen) had nine carp including 18.5lb grass and a good sized ghost carp using boilies
1.8.09 – Ian Clifford (Halesowen) had two carp upto 14.5lb and bream up to 5.5lb using boilies
