Des is fishing Woodland View Fishery and runs through everything you need to know about this deadly commercial fishery technique.
Des discusses why he prefers elasticated feeders for smaller fish including F1s, but at this fishery they are banned so he shows how to set up an inline Method, which allows a quick change of hooklengths.
Des was instrumental in developing a new groundbait for the Method, and shows how to mix it, as well as revealing how and when to choose to use soaked pellets around the feeder instead of fishmeal groundbait.
We go into Des’s balanced rod and reel set up and when to use a shorter rod, plus our ace demonstrates accurate casting to features and how to unclip quickly if you hook a big, angry carp.
Selection of Method feeder size is covered, as is hook bait choice, including how to use soft expanders on a hair rig with full confidence that they won’t come off.
