The best fish of the week was a 6lb 13¾oz Rainbow taken from the bank on a minkie by Jason Spolton of Kettering.

There are reports of plenty of other good fish being taken both on the banks and from boats. Boats will remain on the water until the end of November.

Grafham Water

David Hoppe of Northampton had a brilliant weekend pike fishing at both Grafham and Pitsford. David says “I caught what I believe to be the season’s largest Rainbow trout at Grafham. The warden informed me that the heaviest so far this season weighed 7lb. My trout weighed 7lb 8oz and was taken on a dead bait by the valve tower. The fish was weighed then returned to the water.â€
