  Yes, it’s that time of year again when I post an appeal to get food for the Hedgehogs at Wildlife Aid where I am a volunteer.
  
  Every winter Wildlife Aid ends up with loads of our prickly friends (mostly late babies but adults that are injured) that are not big enough to be released until the Spring as they don’t weigh enough to survive hibernation.
  
  This winter we have 75 hedgehogs to look after and that requires a lot of dog / catfood to keep them fed until it is warm enough to release them.
  
  If anyone wants to make a donation then please pm me for my address and make cheques payable to:-
  Wildlife Aid.
  
  Alternatively if you are going to see me on a fishing match and want to bring along a tin or two or Dog / Cat food (no fish flavours though as it makes hedgehogs ill) then I am happy to collect them from you.

  Yeh man, he reply very nicely! I thought it strange when i hit your pm button and got a diffo Pikey – thought nothing of it at the time!
  The 1st piccy of the Hog that you posted has a big “Greeny” at the top of his Forrid, What’s that?? lol???? Is this a Suvvern taggin thing to spot the released Hogs??

  Whilst they are with us they are often kept in pens with 4 or 5 together. Because we need to know if they are healthy and putting on weight then they are weighed twice a week to make sure they are putting on weight. That is why they are marked with different coloured tippex so we know which one is which.

  Thanks to those who have offered to help so fsr. Wildlife Aid is one of the few Wildlife rescue centres in the country now and really struggles for money.

  I’m working at the Wildlife Centre on Sunday instead of fishing (a wise decision I think given the weather forecast) so will take my little camera and post some pictures on here.

  Only saw a few Hedgehogs at Wildlife Aid today as most were tucked up in their beds ! But here is one of the volunteers preparing their dinner.

  Also a lot of women i have been with thought i was Harrison Ford,believe it or not…..Mind you they soon found out i wasnt once they checked the inner leg stakes…lol.
