I dont think you neccasarily need b&j me matt,,thinks squatts , pinkies and mags a right enough,,,think its more important to draw an area where the fish are shoaled up because as results showed a few weeks ago,,they are shoaled up really tightly at the moment!
bet nobody drew on em today,,maybe the where all shoaled up in an aerea that wasnt pegged in!,,who knows?

No i don`t know him or the fishery,but i went to cudmore sunday and the ice was supposed to be broken and wasn`t,it was 4 inch thick in places and took over an hour to smash through,and that was walking round to the far bank to overhand our weights at the ice to hopefully chip away at the obsticle (iceicle) that we were presented with,all 50 plus hopefull anglers had to endure a few foul hooked fish to win the match,i am never going to go to an open match ever again to break the ice to fish,end of.

I would rather put £20.000 on 3 numbers on the Irish lottery,believe me the odds are are lot better than winning an open through the ice,wether your desperate to go fishing or not………~naughty

Had our winter league match moved onto the split today with the stable being frozen. Fished ok i got onced out for the win with 2lb 10oz of bit. If you did’nt have B&J today you sruggled,it was good to see the airators doing there job is Alex going to put them into the stable pond.

i personly dont think there megger fish holding features yet

they ar called bubblers mate,,just a length of pipe with holes in,,the advantage is they dont tend to creat fish holding hotspots,,so no,,everything is as it was,,minus the ice obviously!!!

Took a look at ASTON SPRINGS last off today. The ice was only covering about 25% of Split same on Lantra one angler fishing and catching silvers on Split.Stable that has no air bubbles solid as is the other two lower down.like it or not it the bubble airation however basic works

There is 2 differant fisheries on site fourcanals, Aston springs which is the bottom 6 or so lakes as you enter the complex, then there is Aston park at the top which has Split, lanta, Lilly and Stable, Aston Park is the bestest imo ~clap

Hi PASTE yes have spent at least 1 session a week on the bottom pond , Laycocks as it was known. I love that pool it can be moody easy frustrating The silvers are good fun and only having fished the split x2 would appreciate any feedback on the complex. I must say that Alex is making a super job of his set up,even down to the super breakfast

Just read my post again. I didn’t want to appear rude. What I meant was this winter has been particularly hard and the weights you are getting are quite low still at the moment. I grew up near Taddy on the Wharfe and you may be suprised at the weights you would get off a river until the closed season, then catch carp off Aston when it warms up.

I think its more to do with the crack with the lads more than catching fish, sounds daft but i think im right
