        Hi All
I have just put my pole away after fishing on the 3rd of this month and gave it all a good clean.
When putting it away the hydro elastic appeared to be frozen and wouldn’t retract properly.
Has anyone else noticed this before and would it be detrimental to use it in this state.

Had the same thing happen when using white hydro, kept losing fish when shipping back due to the elastic not retracting, i must have cut 2 foot off it during that day, however when i next used it on a warm day it was tighter than a fattys pants, so it does get back it’s elasticity, Everyone else was having trouble also, on various elastics. It’s the weather thats the problem!

have had the problem before , solution i found was to leave my topkits near a radiator overnight and even of its cold when you fish with them , it usually doesnt impact the elastic until very late in the match .

I’ve found that the best solution the the frozen hydro problem is……………..

STAY AT HOME WHEN IT’S THAT COLD !
