AnonymousG10…they’re apparently replacing it with a highly new concept in garbo technology ,it’s called ‘a scaffold pole,’
its marginally lighter than it’s precessor even with its welded joints!should be worth its weight in lead then!!~clap -

TF_Big GazParticipantI have been told the first batch of Gmax 1000 poles are due in the UK, the last week in Feb….
Same package as G10, except the match kits have been replaced with competition matchlite kits with added no4 sections to make them effective top 4’s

snaggerThe gmax 1000 arrives the end of Feb, 25 poles only, 1 pole will be allocated to each of the 25 shops through out the country, new pole heavier than the G10 but will be even stiffer at its longest lengths. The next batch of poles end of may, similar spares package to G10 and the price is approx £2400(ouch).the G10 will still be available but only made to order, told Darren has had his Gmax for about a month now.

TF_Big GazParticipantHeavier doesn’t sound good…. I was hoping it would be lighter as I was a big fan of the G995. I wanted the Gmax1000 to be somewhere between the two.
As stiff as the G10, but lighter
I will wait and see when it arrives. Is £2400 teh suggested selling price

snaggerYes heavier, that has put me off a bit aswell but like you said gaz will have to wait and see and yes £2400 suggested selling price.

TF_craigmThats the Z9 safe then, if its heavier than the G10 its no good to me. I got rid of the G10 due to the weight and the rigidity made it a nightmare in the wind.

TF_Big GazParticipantI have not seen a Z9 as we don’t have many shops stocking Browning for what ever reason… must add it to my list of poles to look at for 2010

TF_SliderI have seen the new Garbo, not the finished article but certainly one of the ones that was well along the field testing route.
VERY stiff, will be keen to take a look.
