People just don’t seem to learn. Lost count of the deaths in the last few weeks due to people going through the ice, despite all the warnings.
Did anyone see the car that had driven along the frozen canal, apparently to miss traffic! Saw it on the tele this morning.

I cant belive those 2 blokes in Leicster that died last week, walked out onto the ice, when it waesnt even froze right over.
There was a massive hole where the birds had kept it open, and they waked out, it is obvios that the ice will be getting thinner as you approach the open water!

have no sympathy at all for these people there brains are much thicker than the ice they are walking on pathetic

no sympathy at all for the tw#ts.its the poor people that have to go to there rescue that i worry about.

It’s called natural selection. by being thick enough to drown themselves under the ice they remove themselves from the gene pool…!

on our canal there are hundreds of footprints right near bridge holes and the amount of rubbish that has been dumped on top cookers washing machines you name it!!!its on there

I had seen this previous, but it’s that mad, crazy, outrageous, Stupid, Brave, funny etc…..that they gotta been stoned!

It was actually the Union Canal, near Winchburgh, West Lothian and was widely reported by the media up here. Seemingly they managed about a mile on the ice before going through on a thinner covering close to a bridge. Police later arrested the two idiots in question. Sounds like they had overindulged on the local falling down juice or maybe they had just watched too many episodes of ‘Ice Road Truckers’
