I had a letter from my bank yesterday saying that the standing order for my individual membership to the NFA has been cancelled as they no longer exist which I fully understand.

However with this membership expiring sometime this year (can’t remember when and not got card handy!), does this mean I can’t enter fisho with this membership number or do I have to fork out another 20 quid to join AT?

Dont think the NFA “no longer exist” but yes you do have to be a member of Angling Trust to apply for “Fisho” tickets. Its a little more than individual membership of NFA but I hope it will be in a good cause, nobody knows in these early days what the A.T. will achieve but it seems sensible to me to give them a chance. Please dont join the band of short sighted tight-wads who have moaned and groaned whenever the A.T. subject is raised.

No the cost of joining etc doesn’t bother me, I just want to know what I need to have to enable me to apply for fisho tickets.

Here you go Steve; http://www.anglingtrust.net/landing.asp?section=23&sectionTitle=Angling Trust Membership

The NFA were dissolved late Dec in 2008 and the Angling Trust was launched just over a year ago in January, with the £20 membership you automatically become a member of Fish Legal, the new organisation that took the place of the ACA, so you actually get far more for your money, including third party insurance.

              Regards Bob.
