NickW1, what pegs produced today? I’m on there tomorrow, how many fished and did everyone catch?

low numbers were better. peg 18-31 fished poor 10lb won that section, most weights were 2-4lb

I was on peg 4 fed a small pot of micro pellet and ten bits of corn at 14.5m. then fished the straight lead over to the island. lots of liners kept coming shorter but no joy. went over the pole line after an hour with pellet and not a touch. Worked at it lifting and droping, dragging but nothing. changed to three red maggots and hey presto. you had to dot the float right down to a pimple. very shy bites. I used a .4g Sensas 18 float on .12 main line with a .10 hook lengh – tubertini 808 size 20 for pellet then changed to a red drennan match size 18.Blue hydro was the elastic I was using this was perfect. Every time it slowed down fed another golf ball size ball of micro’s. I had one carp and the rest of it was made up with skimmers/bream to 4lb

There was a few fish caught on the tip (peg 7)

I think peg 14/15 won the match with 7 carp for 42lb oh a one skimmer.

Kingfisher Pm me your phone number and draw time, I will phone you once you have drawn if you wish. I will be up and about as i’m down at the Viaduct for the winter league.

                Cheers Nick

Thanks for the info. and offer of help tomorrow NickW1, but should be O.K. as I fish it regularly anyway.
I was more interested in how it’s fishing after the freeze, and wether there were any surprises. You’ve fished it almost exactly how the winner did the last time I fished it before the freeze (and on the same peg aswell!).
Interesting to hear about the liners though, it’s becoming quite a common problem there. It’s hard to imagine the fish swimming around that much in this weather but they obviously are!
Not too surprised to hear about 18-30 being crap, it has been since about October, definately need to be on the Test bank. It was the last part of the lake to freeze, so presumably it is also the warmest.
I’m just looking forward to getting back out on the bank, as most of the other venues around here are still solid. Looks like the weather’s going to be spot on, so just need a few bites!
Thanks again for the info. and good luck at Viaduct.
