For any one who may still fancy a dabble on the tidal this Sunday. Im aiming to get there at 10am with the tide looking okay for a 10.30 start. Brian pointed out that there is a cafe in Sheen Lane Mortlake, which will be open.

The area we will fish is! if you turn on to the river by the Tai square! Just drive up as far as you can go, pass all the rowing clubs and you can park up as far as Beverly brook no parking restrictions on Sunday. Then just a short walk to the steps. So apart from me and the rowers! I might see one or two of you there. Dont know how it will fish, but thats like everywhere at the moment.

Delbert….I know its the Tidal mate, but the Thames is very heavy at the moment, and Hathers is right, there is plenty of salt and shite in it.However you know it well mate, and i hope you have a good day.But i will wait for a better day,and have decided to fish Sumners on Sunday….Take care fella.

Delbert – You need to start drinking more. I reckon all this domestication and lack of beer has addled your brain.

Brian my John Dean sticks are wasted at Brentford unless the lock opens lol. I fished there many years ago! Stickle Backs galore maggot caster ect. You can imagine the excitement though, when I was missing bite after bite on caster. Shortening hook lengths changing hooks ect! untill i hit one “GUTTED” those bleeding stickles make your heart race sometimes. Im sure its alot better now Brian, but Im going to Putney for a few hours. Catch or blank! Then off to the spotted horse with the wife for a roast.

Will let you all know how it went!! my mate will be with me, so if we catch hopefully have some pics.

I met amushroom out on the river yesterday and he is very passionate about the Thames and anglers’ causes.
I have signed up to his free club and it only took me a minute or two, so no pain there.
