TF_MICK THE BOOKIEDr.Phil….There are some great waters at Yateley mate, but it all depends what you are looking for.
Crowthorn(Nine mile ride),and others in that area, have matches. But in a 30 mile radius, you have many good venues.Sumners,Passies,Broadwater(Godalming),Send…..And many more, which i am sure the lads will help you with. -

Are you still iced up there at the moment ?
Like to do some carp/mixed matches and love to do some river/canal fishing.
Have never fished that part of the country before , the closest has been Christchurch or the Drains…..thats along way , i know !!
Heard of Passies.

I’m kinda in the same boat as you, I moved to Bracknell in April due to work, probably about 5 mile from Camberley
Whilst the fishing is awesome, finding a decent match around here is a miracle.
There are regular wednesday afternoon matches at theale pits in summer, its an interesting place, big weights generally, its prob only 17-18 mile from you.
I also go to Alders farm, its a decent treck, 50 mile but crappy back roads but the fishing is out of this world. I saw someone come last in their 9 pegs section with 156lb, and its not massive fish either
Let me know where you get based, am generally short of someone to go with

Thanks mate that could be good to fish together looking for some matches.
I start the job next week and have a contract till mid-april but it could carry on further , hopefully. I hope to secure an all-week bed and breakfast place so i dont have to travel back upto the Cov/Leicester area so much. Need a secure place for all my english kit. I will return to Sweden every 4 weeks and starting in April and May will fish their big bream matches. Also every 4 week my swedish girlfriend will travel over for a long weekend.
Send us a private mail with contact details that we can exchange.
Look forward to fishing with you !! Got to try Gold Valley Lakes !! -

Would like to start about mid-feb anywhere and with so many offers i will start researching the places to try and stop you local boys taking money of me (which i dont mind if i learn something in the process of being beaten up ) ….. :-))

tournament_proIt used to be a few years back
Gold lake was awesome, it had 45 decent pegs on it, hes ripped all the wooden platforms, replaced them with concrete blocks and crammed nearly 70 pegs onto the same lake.

TF_Dr.PhilBut do they peg all of them in ? ….I suppose Yes is the answer. I watched the video on Sky Sports when they broke the ice , i think it was a 10lb winning weight of roach. Steve Gardner and Des Shipp were fishing it , do they fish there regular ?
I will be pleased to follow the advise i get
of you top boys on where to fish…..maybe sport is a little low just now with all the melting snow you have but in a few weeks it shoul normalise. -

TF_mp.miloGold fishes alright when its a bit warmer, theres 50 match pegs on Gold lake loads of carp in there + skimmers and bream on the pellet.
Middle more mixed smaller carp with the odd proper lump and skimmers and bream
Syndicate carp all sizes and a lot of skimmers and bream show on the pole line.
Most of the matches at weekends these days are affordable opens,£15 all in,no bait limits, most methods allowed. You need to win to pick up top money as £5 goes straight into the winner take all pools.
A few of the Dorking boys fish these Tommy,Paul Holland and a fair few occasional match anglers. If you need any advice on a peg just ask in the clubhouse or on the bank.
May see you there mate.
