Spoke to Geoff Vallance this aft ,he was walking round ,said they had to break the ice and it was bloody freezing.lol

God and T Harrison joint first with 13lb 9oz,not shure on third but ther were a few 10s 9s 8s.I must have been last i think with 5oz.I had the worst days fishing in my life,never been so cold caught 7 roach,could not get my rig through the snow as it formed slush on the surface?.Had the hump from the start as it was decided after the draw that it was 13m limit and i could have reached the island at 14.5 and poss caught chub although Don next door could reach the island and didnt.Never mind we all have bad days,i fished like a pratt and desrved nothing and thats what i got.

Dont be so hard on yourself dave. you are a good angler that just had a bad day. You know you can compete, just look at last years league.

Thanks mate.I am hard on myself but i think this is important to move forward,i overfed my swim trying to pull chub of the island and then was to cold to de slush my other lines,you get nothing unless you work hard mate.Having said that i was in the worst area of the lake at the mo,but know i could have caught more,roll on round 2 the only way is up.
