I agree, he’s a big squealing girl, but he livens up the programme.
Unlike Bernard Cribbins who sent me to sleep listening to him drone on in ‘Catching the Impossible’- a superb film, but what a boring commentary.
You can see why channel 5 went with ‘Extreme Fishing’ over ‘Catching’.

Did himself a lot of favours again last night when he dropped / threw one of the fish he caught and just laughed!!!

I caught the last 20 minutes never having seen any previous episodes and apart from the fishing being almost a secondary issue to white water rafting I didn’t think it was too bad.
As far as I could see the fish which squirmed out of his hands went straight back into the drink so I think would have been unharmed.

I thought his performance was a marked improvement on his previous series as all the fake hee-hawwing like some slack jawed yank has gone (this really annoyed me in the past) and there is a bit more humour. Maybe TV companies do listen to criticism after all.

Its fishing. Its on TV. It cant be that bad.
