BatesoParticipantFingers crossed I will be looking for a new box in the next couple of months.
Budget will be 250ish.
Any recommendations?

TF_andynorth2003ParticipantOn that sort of budget I’d suggest looking at the Preston X3S box, which could then add a tray or two if needed.
Also, Matchbox worth a look for a quality box in that price bracket.
Realistically, brand new a MSX4 System, but an S Class box would be worth the extra dosh. Not hearing good things about the Mavers
A few good reports about the Daiwa 200 box, but not looked myself.
If it was me, I would look to buy a basic version of one of the better seatboxes and then look to buy add on trays/drawers as you need them, which means you stick to your initial budget, but have the potential to create a perfect box. (suppose it depends how much kit you carry round at the mo)
Fox MSB Euro boxs are very good and Rives unbeatable. imo -

TF_GaryThe Brilo boxes are definitely worth a look. If I was buying a box right now for that kind of money, based on what I have seen, I would probably go for a Brilo.

I’ll second Brilo.
Excellent build and good prices as well.
I’ve had a Brilo Scotthorne for over a year now and I cannot begin to say how pleased I have been with it.
You should get a decent box for £250 but they have the 3 Side draw model on offer for £279 with extras thrown in.
They will also build a box to your own spec.

TF_drawbag1967I bought a secondhand Milo Tardis Match Plus on ebay for £240 and its the business. The best thing about that deal was some muppet gave me £270 for my old Preston X5, one born every minute ~shh

What?! Oh sh!t… I thought it said ‘BMW X5’, not ‘Preston’. And there was me thinking I’d got a bargain! £270 down the drain…

TF_back shotParticipantHi Andy
Good to here your fishing with us next year matey.
The only advice i could give you is to check that the footplate on the box you choose can be indepentantly moved to adjust the seating hight. This is the trouble with the Daiwa seatboxes, i think you will find that these are fixed and can only be highered or lowed by removing or adding compartments trays.
I have a Milo 1100 and would not change it for any other box on the market at the moment, but they are very heavy and wee man like yourself would’nt want to be carrying it far.
Have a look at the Ultimate Ultra team box, i think it a copy of the Milo boxes but at a much reduced price. I think you can pick up a brand new box for around £199.00.
Look forward to seeing you in the new season.
Regards Dave

DEEDOGDACEParticipantBateso,I’ve had to Daiwa 200 for over a year now, fished most weekends (until recently…) and can’t fault it. It’s got tons of space and solid as a rock.
For 250 quid it’s a cracking bit of kit.Forget the wheel kit and handles though.

Same here, great box and I don’t use the wheel kit either, waste of time, I got mine for £210 off ebay so worth having a look around as they can be picked up cheaper than £250.

TF_back shotParticipantCan you ajust the hight of the Daiwa 200 box at the seated position without altering the tray system. If not how do you get it to the prefect hight for needs of different size anglers.
If the hight dose ajust on the legs of the seatbox, i stand corrected.

THE ORICALDaiwa 100 box is a 5 draw box with removeable units , foot plate , side tray ,nice and light ,(depending what you put in it ) and you should have £50 change from £250 if you shop around! The 200 is also a good buy but is very big!
