I fished a match there 2 years ago. It fished okay although as has been said it was Bream or bust and there were blanks. I did hear they had one match after that which didnt fish very well at all and then they knocked it on the head. Not heard anything since. Dendra will know more but i would be surprised if there are many matches planned on their.

bream/roach venue…white mini bolies fish well at the sailing boat end, opposite the tower ballroom. need to cast out a good distance….years ago it fished well with bloodworm, a old great venue, still fishing well

We only had two matches on it this year using the ballroom and one side of the creek, both times it fished poor. The ranger said she hadnt seen a good bream wieght come out for a while, although she had witnessed large shoals in the creek around spawning time.
Sadly due to illness John no longer organises, his July -September turn outs used to be very good.Roach have started to make a come back,Shakespeare,s Tony Skinner had 30lb off the Dam wall in a match we ran 2-3 years back.

Shame I recall five or so years ago a big weight – 106lb or something. There were no roach then – all the cormorants has had them. But it had a very good year for bream. Have they died – I’m reckoning not…. Sorry to hear about John being ill.

I recall that match when Bob Ellis broke the record which still stands. The bream were in that corner in the slipway area all that summer, even windsurfers over there heads never stopped them feeding.John did a feature for Midland Angler that same year.
Hopefully this summer they will get there heads down again.

Will do mate,we keep an eye on it regarding levels, and a good guide to form is the amount of pleasure anglers you see on it.
