Saturday during our open/sale day, Phil Ringer came over to show everyone his new ‘next generation’ expander pellets.
Phil had told me these were the best pellets he had ever made, and likely to be the best ever.
Well after having a good look at them I can say that they are indeed the ‘dogs danglies’.
Phil had prepared them by just soaking them for a bit just before he came over to the shop. The pellets were soft but you could tell straight away that they would stay on the hook for a long time. Most sank well, but remember he had not pumped them. Phil say’s just one pump in a pellet pump is enough to sink the lot. You can leave them in water for ages and they will not go to mush.
Look out for these new ‘Ringers next generation’ expander pellets which are released next week. They are the best expander pellets on the market in mine and lots of other peoples opinion. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

They have a hi oil/fishmeal content. They really are tops.

Im not a fan of pellet fishing but in my limited use of them Ringers are easily the best.

We used to buy some hook pellets years ago from the oaks at sessay they were sinkers and only needed covering in water leaving to soak and hey presto brilliant hookers this was long before they opened the onsite shop.
There used to be an old caravan on the carpark and you could buy these pellets in small amounts in unbranded packaging, think they must have bought them in bulkand packed there own if i remember rightly they came in plastic containers not bags.

I’m keen to give these expanders a go as i’m a big fan of expanders. I find the Dynamite baits expanders are the best although a couple of months ago they changed the ingredients of them. They aren’t as good no more as they are darker in colour as i prefer a light colour. Also they don’t expand to the size the old ones did.
