With the rain and snow water now run off the pools the fish are feeding again, with f1 carp, roach, perch, bream and the odd chub and tench showing. The best baits are pellet, red maggot and punched bread fished on the bottom with light red groundbait.
Top Pool
Some big weights have been caught this week by pleasure anglers in the bowl area fishing pellet. The roadside pegs have lots of bream, roach and f1 carp on every peg.Bottom Pool
4 carp from 12-18lb caught this week as the water warmed up a bit on bread. Lots of carp, bream, roach and perch showing to red maggot. 50lb+ won the match on Monday. The fish are 8-10m out.House Pool
Again maggot has been catching well with fish at 10m. Some big carp to the island with the waggler and loose fed maggotHouse 2/Extension Pool
Pellet and maggot have gone well this week with some fish at 2 mtrs just out of the margins. 40lb for pleasure anglers on Friday.New Pool
Roach, bream, perch, common carp and f1 carp on all pegs at 7m. Red maggot has been the best bait with red groundbait.Canal Pool
Rudd, roach, perch, bream and f1 & f2 carp on red maggot with red groundbait at 10m.Club Pool
Pellet best for f1 & f2 carp and the odd tench. Bread against the island for common carp and maggot for silverfish.RESULTS FOR OPEN CONTESTS
