Coaching Days For Auction—GILES COCHRANE

  As many of you may know each year I lay on a fairly good raffle for Duanes memorial match. With things being so tight for everyone it is becoming harder to source prizes. Many companies are struggling to be as generous as previous years so with that in mind I shall just do the raffle on the day for the anglers present.
  
  Here`s the part where you lot will still be able to get involved.. . . . . .
  
  After texting a few friends I must say I am pleased to be able to affer up for auction several coaching days. These days will go to the highest bidder and as they are generous enough to give up their time , will be fished at a date and venue convenient for the named angler.
  
  Please keep your eyes open and feel free to dig deep and bid high.

  First up we have Giles Cochrane. Giles is renowned for developing the hook in the loop style of fishing amongst other things. The thinking mans angler , Giles has a wealth of experience to share with the winning bidder. This auction will finish 8.00pm on Sunday 28th February.

  That is fair enough Dave but, any chance as you announce the angler we could have a rough idea where it will be fished please ? (just nearest town etc, doesn’t have to be a specific as a venue)- Thanks

  Fair call Ian. I shall ask Giles tomorrow. I know for instance one of the anglers , Steve Ringer will only be able to do a midweek date as his calendar is full for this year but being such a nice fella he still gave his services for this cause.

  Thank you all so far. As it is so difficult to get raffle prizes from tackle/bait companies in this economic climate , these auctions really boost the funds.

  Its all down to the guys who give their time for free Dave, they have no need to if they dont want.
  I have a day with Mr Scothorne no less comming up shortly from a similar auction.
  Can you imagine what you would have to pay for a day out with any other top sportsmen from any other sport?
  I know someone who paid Â£8k for a golf day out with Gary Lineker I think for children in need, he never spoke for the whole round until the last putt went in, turned around and said thanks and drove off!!!
  I can assure anyone thinking about bidding that these days out are nothing like this, you will learn loads and have a friend for life as well as doing your bit for a very worthy cause.
