I am no expert but Argal, near Penryn, Cornwall
is supposed to be a good proper bream water. We also have Porth, which is a bit tricky for the proper bream, but there are plenty of skinners/hybrids. P.M Steve Locket on this site as he will be able to put you right.

As Baitchef suggested Argal is a propper “Bream & Tip” water, fish average around the 4lb mark with many pushing & into double figures.

Its the sort of place where you want your waders & a platform to sit on, leave you box at your accomodation and lighten your load, there are walks involved to get amongst the bream.

Alternativly try BK Fisheries (google search)
some propper bream to be had also, but pole is normally the method down there due to its depth!!!

If you follow the old coachroad into the back end of St.Ives and look down to your left as you approach the town you’ll see Bussow Reservoir which is controlled by peninsular coarse fisheries if my memory is correct. Loads of bream and skimmers in there, my brother is down there most weekends bivvying when not chasing bass and he’s had bream ‘bothering him’ in the past. I’ll see if I can get more info.
