We could have a rover on the bottom lakes.

TF_teabagYou beat me to it Dave. lol
I’ll be running to Old Lake, don’t think the fish in Top Lake will have settled down by that date ~think
-
15/02/2010 at 9:44 pm #94515
TF_mp.miloYour probably right there Mark, they will need a bit of time to settle, before the 3 x 6hr matches a week start and they get hammered.
-
15/02/2010 at 10:13 pm #94526
TF_DishyfishThats the best idea I have heard for ages!! See you on the 28th oh and dont forget the following Sunday aswell. Marcus you crack me up!!! Well done Dave and Teabag..
-
15/02/2010 at 10:33 pm #94529
TF_mp.milolol..How you doing Del,
In all seriousness mate, those fish that were stocked work out at 17 per peg, give it a month there will be 3 matches a week on there. Those fish will give up feeding during the day,too much pressure and feed at night. There used to it coming from new lake, nobody could catch them on there during the day in any number. -
15/02/2010 at 10:40 pm #94530
TF_DishyfishIm good thanks Marcus! I hope that wont be the case and it all go’s well.
I still think that Johns lake should not be used untill the following winter, and maybe keep it as a winter fishery. The only way they might compete during those months with the other fisheries in the area.
Any chance of seeing you down there in the future.
-
15/02/2010 at 10:48 pm #94532
TF_mp.miloI hope it goes well mate, one of my favourite fisheries.
Your right about Johns lake,i said that before when it was stocked, fishing for little fish, swinging them in,scales coming off in the keep nets,5-6 kilos of groundbait going in, was only going to end in tears.
Didnt agree with it and didnt fish any of the matches on there for that reason.
Its angler pressure mate, longer matches, bigger weights.
Hope the boys see sense and it returns to the fishery it once was. -

Marcus, New rules for the place have been talked about with Terry and they would cover what you have said above and more, if he decides to implement any is another thing. As I’m quite new at the place, I’m quite intrested to learn what what you were refering to when you posted “Hope the boys see sense and it returns to the fishery it once was”.
What is different now?
Is it run any different
Is it because the fish have grown up large
ect. ect
Not just for Marcus to answer, there are a few of you on here.Dave, the thread may have gone off topic, but it should keep it bumped up. lol

TF_DishyfishAndy you old fart lol how are you ?? Only had the two visits the first one okay, the second just a chewed maggot. So going to wait untill the weather improves, hopefully before the end of the season.
If not I will be down there in the new season!! P.s no condoms or bog roll. Just alot of lovely female rowers to keep me company..
Now I fancy a bit of fishing from dry land (wet land)!!
Marcus I saw your post earlier! trust me tebag it will be worth the wait. Marcus wants to come down, offer to cook the breakfast for all, sort the lakes out and plough thousands of pounds into a wonderful fishery!! Lets hear it for~clap mp.milo ~clap ~clap

16/02/2010 at 8:18 pm #94633
TF_toplightsDont get you’r hopes up in getting the fishery run for you’r benefit lads, cause it wont be.Its a comercial enterprise and needs to make money.Dont foreget Terry has to pay the lease payments before he or the rest of the team get paid or mony can be spent on stock.
Match fishermen arn’t realy worth a toss to nearly every fishery owner i have ever met,so go for the Crack and hope to catch a few.All this talk about the way the fishery should be run doesen’t amount to a hill of beans, the people that matter wont take a blind bit of notice. imho.Anyone seen a Butterfly yet?

Apologies Toplights!! Topflights sounds better though!! Sounds like a travel agency lol.
