Need some help in regards to a match( Fish-O ), I have not fished here before so what I’d like to know is what method of attack should I choose, best baits, rigs pole or feeder etc, what weights to expect

Not an expert on this place mate(or any others to be honest)but theres two or three methods that work.
Pole with pellet and paste, start close in for a couple of mug fish(top two)then go out top four, top five but keep feeding the margins.you need to get them back in close to do a good weight.
next would be a similar approach but feeding maggot/caster and some worm to target the barbel you will know if you draw a barbel peg with the names you get called think pegs 45,46,47,56 and 57 are the best ones.a lot (not all)of the end pegs can be fliers.
Up in the water after balling it in or feeding a clouding g.bait then firing pellet over the top can work, its probably worth looking for articles done by either nick gilbert or matt love,on this method as both are pretty good.
Take plenty of keepnets as there are strict limits on weights, and put them all in at start as putting one in when you have got them going can kill your swim stone dead.
Finally read the rules as bait checks are done on all the big matches

Grey, maybe black for margins.fish with .14,.16 set up plenty of tops with maybe even a couple of them on .18 or even .20,depths do vary across the complex.
Another thing have a look at nick gilberts floats as i am sure you wii find something indestructable for use at monks(pm him and he should be able to advise you.)

I haven’t fished the match lake a lot lately but it is pretty much how DAT says. There are only a handful of pegs that are likely to win the match, the end pegs at the top end of lake 3 and some on lake 2 the favorites on last years form being 45, 56, 67, 77.

Target the F1s and carp to win the match, if you draw on the barbel they can be good weight builder too but they are only worth targeting in cartain areas.

Keep the bait going in and the fish will turn up, they have a 8 pint bait limit and 2 kilo ground bait limit in place and I would use pellet if it is hot and maggot if it is cold, others do well fishing corn. You can also have a kilo of worn on top of this so I would have this with me too!

Dont discount the wag or feeder if the conditions are bad.

This write up may be usefull but this method is not working as well as it did and I have changed tactics now

There has been a major fish kill on lake 1 and I don’t know what lakes will be in the fisho I would guess it will be lake 2, 3 and 4 now?

~shh Don’t forget some of the flyers were left out in last years Fisho. If all pegs are in P113 will take all the beating, I reckon that 80% of the field will be capable of winning off the peg.
                  (I’ll be in the 20%)
