I’ve got a copy of the programme from the World Champs held at Evesham on the Warks Avon in 1981, including features from Robin Harris about his 1969 world champs win and Ian Heaps about his win in Poland in 1975, and a tribute to Billy Lane who was England’s first world champ in 1963.

Billy Lane’s record in the All England was amazing – he finished in the top 25 nine times.

With this I also have a copy of the menu from the dinner, held in the Grand Hotel in Birmingham after the event, signed by Dave Thomas, Kevin Ashurst, John Dean, Tony Scott (?) and Clive Smith…

It got me thinking whether there is a market for match fishing antiquity like this… what is it worth I wonder….

What`s with people keeping old stuff? Just over a week ago I was having a clear out and found `Tight Lines 73`(ABU Catalogue)

What was the price of a brand new 506?
