Its normal that in those circumstances. Only the anglers who where at there pegs at the end of the match and who weigh in, in this case nothing should be placed in any raffle for those 2 section wins.

Only the anglers that stayed the full match should be in the draw, you wouldn’t go home early and leave a net with 20lb of fish in it and expect to win would you.

the guys who worked at it till the final whistle should have been the ones in the hat not ones who opted out half way through.

This happened a few years ago on a match i was on. Only the anglers who stayed at their pegs till the end were put in the draw for the section coin.

They should also have had a top 3 and 3 sections and drawn for that…………………………………………………………………………………………. at the start

total slap in the face for the people who are prepared to put time and effort in.

WHAT !

Scenario 1
Angler packs up, takes tackle to car, walks around for an hour or so, realises no-one has
caught in the section he was in , goes back to stand on his peg when the scales come
round……..does he qualify as being “on his peg”
Scenario 2
Angler puts a pole rig that he has been using back on its winder or packs a feeder/ waggler
rod away
5 mins from the end of the match….. does this constitute as “packing up before the end of
the match”
Scenario 3
No-one has caught, so no-one has won the section.. money goes into the ” win pool”
or to boost the other sections.

Whatever the situation, the rules as to what happens should already be written down for all
to see.
But then how many matches do Anglers go to when they do not know how the payout
is going to be done, or how much is being paid out!

having sat there in the freezing cold and the rain with my fellow competitors who sat to the end to try and work out how 2 get a fish in the net for good team points in a couple of weeks were in total shock at the payout.

i have my thoughts but would like to hear other views.
