        Dear all

I write to you with a problem.

Yesterday I entered into a conversation with two blokes at work – and have found myself with a difficult situation to deal with.

It seems I am in the minority among male work colleagues (not in telly – this is in my ”other” job at uni).

        Apparently I’m odd…because I don’t MOISTURISE.

Before anyone from north of Watford starts to have a pop as ‘Southern Shandy Poooofs’, I should point out one of the blokes is a northern monkey. From somewhere called ‘Yorkshire’ I think.

I listened to them comparing notes about which moisturiser was best (apparently it’s Clarins) – and when I pointed out they sounded like a couple of women, they took offence.

They pointed out the error of my ways – and promised to bring me samples of moisturiser to try out.

One of them got his moisturiser from a rep who was handing out goodie bags (!!!) to some professional footballers.

Apparently you need to do it last thing at night, then first thing in the morning.

I felt slightly queasy at this point and left. Is it any wonder our once proud nation is in the state it’s in?

Next you lot will all tell me:”Yep, I moisturise too.”

Then I’ll know I’m in deeeeeeep trouble.

A very disturbing trend highlighted by our Hampshire correspondent.

I would estimate that this mincing activity is in no small way a contributory factor for the recent propensity amongst male interviewees to burst into tears on national television.

This is obviously, well, just wrong!
For blokes that like to go cottageing, that’s fine, but to normall folk, no, it’s wrong.

Nivea for Men seems to do the trick for me. I don’t use it regularly though, only when my skin is a dry. I tried the L’Oreal ones, but did not find them to be as effective. The revitalising eye cream does feel quite nice though below the eyes if you’ve had a boozy evening and need to be bright and breezy the following morning!
