I liked mine, quite light and well balanced. Very good upto 14.5m then go slightly at 16m, finish not the best for shipping but not the worst out there. They were Garbolinos’ flagship pole before the G10 and were still on sale up until early last year i believe, Bobco’s still had one on sale for £1800 last year. A very good all round pole that will last for years if treat well, i caught carp upto 10lb at Woodlands with mine but i don’t consider them suitable for bagging big carp all day long. I recently sold mine with a repaired no7, 7 match top3’s, reversible mini extension and a few spare no4’s and holdall for £800.

Everytime I get pegged next to a clubmate of mine he seems to break his on numerous different sections as well.

Was Garbolinos flagship pole and in the right hands it is suitable for commercial work as shown by Neil Machin in a recent fisho mania final when he won on the day with over 200lb.
I would prefer the 995 to a TKS 40 and wouldn’t worry too much about spares because all G mandrel sections should fit.

I have the G995 and love it. I’ve fished with the Tourny Pro and the Airity and I wouldn’t swap it for either! It just feels right to me.
When I come to upgrade, I’ll look at the new
                G Max 1000 or get another 995.
