DaveHarrellParticipantOur Garbolino backed Club Angler Of The Year competition has seen an increase in entries of more than 13% this year and 355 anglers will soon be going flat out in three regional qualifiers to try and win a place in the final on June 10th at Barston Lakes.
The competition gets underway with the Midlands Fish Off ton Thursday April 1st at Tunnel Barn Farm. The Southern Fish Off takes place at Gold Valley Lakes with the Northern Fish Off set for Lindholme Lakes. Garbolino’s UK manager Darren Cox said: “This event gets bigger and better every year! The formula is working well and as more club champions get
involved we can make it even better. Garbolino are delighted to sponsor such an event as it is this type of angler who supports Garbolino in the tackle shops year-in-year-out.It’s nice to be able to give something back to the angler as a thank you. All the qualifiers are taking place on fair venues again this year and the final at Barston should be a cracker this time round as owner Nigel Harrhy has sorted out the water quality problems from last year and I expect there to be some very big weights of bream and carp landed.â€

TF_hempseedWell it says in match fishing that they have turned away some anglers that don’t fall into the “club angler category” so thats good to see, as some anglers that apply are fishing the open circuit regular or are venue experts!! Well done mf i say, as its a club angler event. ~clap

TF_AdzTParticipantI would class a club angler as somone who doesn’t fish open matches or for a team or has no form of sponsorship.
