TF_teabagDon’t think I’ll be fishing them from now on, those new bait rules will make it to hard for me to compete with the good guys, what’s your thoughts on them????
Only allowed
MAGGOTS
CASTERS
HEMP (including crushed hemp)
WORMS
BROWN / WHITE CRUMB (4kg dry max)
NO additives / flavourings / colourings of any sort. -

TF_geepsterParticipantStrange. First i have heard of banning pellets of all kinds altogether anywhere. Would be interested in the thought process….

Daddy BParticipantIf that’s true then it has reverted to exactly the same list of permitted baits as about 10 years ago.
Presume the rules are different for pleasure anglers as they make most of their income out of those guys, fishing their two rods specifically for the carp ? -

TF_MarkTOne minute you can only buy fishery own pellets, then he relaxes the rule saying in the angling times that pellets are fine and totally safe.
Then he’s criticizing other fisheries for having a fishery own pellet rule saying they only doing it to make money, then goes and bans them in open matches, strange.

TF_Two-netsIt would seem that it is only for the matches they host themselves – any other bookings stay as before.

TF_peter9000ukI was reading this the other day and I interpret it to apply to only costcutter & affordable opens.
Being out of work since end of Nov I was goinf to start doing some of these but I notice that the fees have gone up to £7 from £5 as well, plus I was talking to someone who fishes them and he mentioned when he went the other week only him and one other bloke turned up so it was cancelled! I may appear to be being a bit tight but £7 or £10 + fuel + maggots caster etc ain’t going to make it a cheap match when on a tight budget.
At least before I could go with a couple of tins of corn and some pellet and have a cheap day out. Shame really. -

TF_SelfeyIf you look at the list of open matches they are all costcutter or affordable now being £7 or £10 entry with the type of bait limited. I am sure that soon there will be a volume limit.
Even playing feild as far as I can see.
As usual if you dont like it dont go simple… -

TF_Daiwa proDoes anyone actually know why these rules have been put in place, last year when all the rules were relaxed it encouraged 25+ anglers for a saturday match and it fished really well. i dont understand~think ~think
