Steve, without wishing to appear cynical, how long do you think it will take for it to be dire again?
These small F1 are exposed to angling pressure for the first time and are hungry. However after a few batterings over the forthcomming festivals when they will be fished for every day, for a month plus, they are bound to suffer.
I read the reports on the above link for Mawgan Porth and despair.
I know W/A is a massive business but I am starting to question the ethics of what we anglers demand.

I drew next to Nathan Watson at the weekend (unfortunately lol) and somehow about six of his ‘mates’ have managed to convince him that Pollawyn match lake has been stocked full of… trout!!
I tried to tell him about the growing burbot population in twin oaks but he wouldn’t have it? ~sick

I actually had one of my best days on Trelawney for years last summer, catching shallow and on the deck. Proper fish too (averaging over 5lb). I really don’t get this obsession with F1s – would much rather catch proper fish!
