  Match fishing went over a few years ago, and we had some pictures then, but this is even tighter!

  they only use whips in china when fishing matches.
  on natural venues where there are big fish hooked on the whip, they let go of the whip completely when the fish runs.
  the whip is attached to the angler via strong line. when the fish finishes its run, the whole whip and fish is gently pulled back to the angler and the fight continues until the fish is netted! ~clap
