TF_PaddySlip – yes mate i am at home and they annoy the back teeth out of me.
Take care as i am aware that currently they are migrating there email service from one place to another and only last night we had another 1 hour plus chat with an Indian call centre – all to no avail! To say that we are Micked off is an understatement. I have had running battles with there new cable department, the internet people, the telephone people and even the home technicians that consistently blame another department.
They are a service provider that struggle to provide a service.
For what it is worth, i here Sky are pretty similar.
I would have a good scout around if i were you. -

TF_GaryI’m looking into reviewing my phone/ TV/ broadband package at the moment, so I will let you know what I discover! I cannot get cable TV in my area though, so assume I am stuck with Sky for the forseeable future.

TF_Rob AI have virgin phone tv and broadband not had any real problems, as somebody has said before it’s worth haggling, I’ve had free XL tv for a year in the past after saying I was going to move to another provider.
I also have BT broadband and phone (I work from home) virgin broadband is quicker and more reliable, but again i’ve not had any major problems with BT.
Virgin tv does not get affected by severe weather which I’ve heard Sky does, though I’ve never had sky so it’s only what i’ve been told. I think sky has more channels though.
If you go for sky get one of your mates who has it to recommend you I saw an ad that stated the person who recommends you will get an ipod touch. -

TF_GaryGood point, Rob!
If anyone does decide to get Sky, drop me a PM and I will “recommend” you. I had a flyer through from Sky the other day saying that we get £50 of M&S vouchers each! I think there is an iPod Touch offer as well (as stated by Rob A).

TF_caster robParticipantIf you’ve got cable in your area go for Virgin/NTL.
All the others, including sky, are limited by BT’s bits of wire.
Sky offer attractive bundles so that your broadband seems cheap tied into the TV package but the thing to remember about the TV is that it’s ALL s**t, whoever you get it from.

TF_GavinI’ve had no real problem with Virgin Media, only have them for the broadband mind.
I did haggle/complain when at the end of the introductory offer period the price went up more than they said at the time, and I got put on to a better broadband package and price (for what I use it for)
The only downside is when they kept ringing me, I couldn’t understand the anyone form the Indian call centre I got connected too! I know the number now so I just don’t answer it!
