Depending how worn the male joints are mate you have several option. First one is to wrap them with a thin layer of brown parcel tape (50p) to build up the joint and stop wear. Second is to treat the joints with a rub of candle wax (pennies). Third you can build the joint up using graphits spray (cost £5-6). Finally you can have the joints restored by a professional pole repairer and have the joints over wapped with a fine carbon cloth which will last a lot longer and is the best fix (cost around £15).

gillbo i think by the question he just wants to protect the joints no build them back up? or i could of misread it…

to protect them just use ptfe spray as per instructions on the can, you dont have to buy the maver one i think you can get it from motorcycle shops cheaper…

and a pole doctor or like gillbo said parcel tape on the no4 section (the one you use most) is also a good idea…
